Best Buy is very involved in giving back to the communities in which it has stores. One such initiative was the introduction of their Teen Tech Centers in various cities across the country, including Minneapolis. I was responsible for concepting and developing the branding for the effort as well as helping brand each space with wall graphics, vinyl installations and collaborating with the store design teams on interior design considerations.
The Environmental Services & Sustainability Team at Best Buy was in need of some wrangling and refreshing of their identity. As the designer on the project, I provided them with an identity that stayed true to the larger Best Buy brand, but gave them enough consistent visual assets that they were able to market Best Buy's sustainability efforts. Best Buy's Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability team publishes a hefty annual report that outlines the company's efforts and commitments in certain areas like diversity, the environment and financials.
As the designer on the project I was able to help synthesize the content from the client and collaborate with them to develop a digestible interactive report. We also developed a summary of the larger report that took the form of a folded brochure but largely looked the same visually. Below are a few select spreads and the report summary.
